The much-anticipated reality show "The Power" is set to premiere on ProSieben and streaming platform Joyn. The show, a licensed format from Dreamspark and Studio 89, will air its first episode on Tuesday, September 2, at 10:30 PM, under the title "The Power Highlight Cut".
Beginning September 9, "The Power" will air weekly on ProSieben from 10:30 PM to 11:35 PM, with additional episodes on September 3, 8, 9, and 10. On Joyn, two new episodes will air each weekday, each with a runtime of 30 minutes, under the motto "All on Joyn!".
The show's unique twist is the role of the "secret Power Player", which changes each week. The identity of this Power Player remains unknown to the other contestants. The Power Player decides who enjoys privileges and who faces disadvantages within the house. They also have the power to nominate someone to leave the show.
The winner of "The Power" will receive a prize of 40,000 euros. In an exciting twist, the nominee can save themselves by correctly guessing the Power Player's identity.
The German adaptation of "The Power" is handled by Red Seven Entertainment, with Matthew "Matt" Claxton from ITV Studios Germany serving as the producer. The show is being streamed on Joyn, with a daily summary on sixx.
