WSOP Circuit Tallinn: Corne Scheel Leads Mini Main Event Final Table, Falls Short of Victory

The World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) Tallinn is off to an exciting start, with poker action abounding in the Estonian capital. One of the most anticipated events, the €350 Mini Main Event, has reached its final table, with Dutch poker player Corne Scheel leading the charge.

Scheel, a seasoned poker professional, entered the final table with a commanding chip count of 15,100,000, among nine remaining players in a tournament that attracted 954 entries, resulting in a prize pool of €280,953.

However, in a dramatic turn of events, Scheel finished in fourth place, narrowly missing out on the WSOPC gold ring and the top prize. Despite earning €15,140, he fell short of the podium, with Simon Hesserud Persson emerging victorious and claiming the event, along with €45,700 and a $5,000 Ticket to Paradise package.

Meanwhile, other events at the WSOPC Tallinn are also heating up. The €350 No-Limit Hold'em Queens event, a new addition to the festival, is focusing on female poker talent in the region. The €555 Pot-Limit Omaha 4/5 (PLO4/5) event, the WSOPC Tallinn's Ring Event #2, is also underway, with 26 players remaining for Day 2 and a prize pool of €127,300.

The Ticket to Paradise offers a chance to compete in the WSOP Paradise event in the Bahamas, while players are also eyeing satellites for the highly anticipated €1 million guaranteed WSOPC Main Event. The Main Event is expected to bring even more exciting poker action as it draws closer.

In addition, the WSOPC Tallinn is hosting a separate event, the Queens of Tallinn, focused on women in poker. The Ticket to Paradise and the Queens of Tallinn events aim to showcase the region's poker talent and provide a platform for female players.

The €555 No-Limit Hold'em (Ring Event #3) Day 1b is scheduled to start at noon on Monday, July 28th, 2025. Another event scheduled for the same day is the €350 H.O.R.S.E. event.

As the WSOPC Tallinn continues, it promises to bring some of the best talent in poker to Tallinn, making it a must-visit destination for poker enthusiasts.
