Hard Rock International and the Tejon Indian Tribe are set to open Hard Rock Casino Tejon on November 13, 2025. The casino, spanning 150,000 square feet, will create more than 1,000 permanent jobs and has already generated thousands of construction roles. It will feature slots, tables, and VIP rooms, with Hard Rock International managing operations.
The casino, a $600 million investment, will be one of the largest entertainment projects in Kern County. It will house 2,000 slot machines, more than 50 live table games, and high-limit VIP rooms. Tejon Indian Tribe Chairman Octavio Escobedo III views the opening as a historic moment, creating opportunity and prosperity for the Tribe and the county.
Chris Kelley will lead the casino as its president. The casino aims to serve as an economic driver and a gathering space, blending culture, entertainment, and community. The Tejon Indian Tribe, the only federally recognized Tribe in Kern County, sees the casino as a way to strengthen community ties and support cultural preservation.
Hard Rock Casino Tejon, opening on November 13, 2025, promises to be a significant contributor to Kern County's economy. With its extensive gaming options and job creation, it is set to become a regional entertainment standard, while also supporting the Tejon Indian Tribe's cultural and community goals.
